Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Pekadi does not collect, receive, transmit, or store personal data on Pekadi servers.

Data generated, imported, or entered within our apps remains on your device unless you intentionally use an app feature that sends it directly to another device. Pekadi does not operate an external server, account system, analytics system, advertising network, or tracking system for app data.

For the original Pekadi app, local app data may include:

• Generated passwords
• Saved vault entries
• App preferences

For Pekadi Local, local app data may include:

• Photos, RAW files, edited images, and other imported image files you choose to add
• Photos and RAW files you choose to import from a connected camera
• Temporary gallery information, previews, QR codes, and session tokens
• A local preference for whether to show the app guide on launch

2. Local Data Storage

User data is stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage systems.

• The original Pekadi app uses Apple Keychain for saved passwords.
• The original Pekadi app uses local device storage for app settings and history.
• Pekadi Local stores imported gallery files and downloaded files in local temporary app storage.
• Pekadi Local can save selected transferred or camera-imported photos to your Photos library when you choose to export them.
• Pekadi Local stores the guide-on-launch preference locally on your device.

Pekadi does not have access to your local Keychain items, local gallery files, or local app data, and this data is not sent to Pekadi.

3. No Account Required

Pekadi does not require any personal sign-up information.

• Account creation
• Login credentials
• Email addresses
• Personal identification

4. No Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, disclose, or transmit app data to external servers.

Your app data is intended to stay on your device unless you choose to back up or transfer your device data through Apple-provided tools, or unless you use Pekadi Local to send selected photos directly to another device on the same local network.

Pekadi Local may also import photos directly from a compatible connected camera when you choose that option. Camera-imported files remain on your device unless you choose to share, export, or back them up using system features.

5. Local Network and Internet Usage

The original Pekadi app does not require an internet connection for core functionality.

Pekadi Local uses your local network when you choose to start a local gallery or download photos from another device. Pekadi Local creates a temporary local gallery link, QR code, and session token so another device on the same Wi-Fi network can preview and download the files you selected.

Pekadi Local transfers files directly between participating devices on the local network. Files are not uploaded to Pekadi servers.

6. Third-Party Services

Pekadi apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Security

All users of our apps are protected by the local-first design and by Apple’s built-in platform security features. Because Pekadi does not receive user data, we cannot view, recover, reset, or export data stored in your local app installation.

• Secure Keychain storage for saved passwords in the original Pekadi app
• Device-level encryption provided by Apple platforms
• Temporary session tokens for Pekadi Local galleries
• Local network transfers that require the current QR code and session token

8. Backups, Deletion, and Data Loss

Your saved password data, imported gallery files, downloaded files, and other app data are kept on your device. If you delete an app, erase the device, replace the device, disable relevant Apple backups, clear a Pekadi Local session, or otherwise remove local data before backing it up, the data stored by the app may be gone from that app installation and may be permanently lost.

Pekadi cannot restore deleted local passwords, photos, downloads, or session data because Pekadi does not store a copy on its servers.

9. Massachusetts Privacy and Security Notice

Massachusetts data security regulations, including 201 CMR 17.00, apply to persons or businesses that own or license covered personal information about Massachusetts residents. Pekadi apps are designed so that Pekadi does not own, license, receive, store, maintain, process, or otherwise access users’ covered personal information through the apps.

If Pekadi ever changes its app design to collect or access covered personal information, we will update this policy and use safeguards appropriate to applicable law, including Massachusetts requirements.

10. Children’s Privacy

Pekadi does not knowingly collect information from children. Since Pekadi does not collect app data on Pekadi servers, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our apps.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
