Which app are you using?

Pekadi currently has two apps. Pekadi is the password generator and vault. Pekadi Local is the local photo delivery app for sharing RAW or edited photos directly between nearby devices on the same Wi-Fi network.

  • Use the Pekadi section for password generation, saved passwords, and biometric lock questions.
  • Use the Pekadi Local section for photo imports, gallery QR codes, local network transfers, and downloads.

Are my passwords stored online?

No. All passwords are stored locally on your device using Apple Keychain. Pekadi does not upload or store your data on any servers.

Does Pekadi require internet?

No. Pekadi works completely offline.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Pekadi does not require an account or login.

Will my data transfer to a new device?

Your data may transfer if you use Apple’s built-in iCloud Keychain and device backups. Pekadi itself does not manage cloud syncing.

How do I clear my data?

  • Clear generated history inside the app
  • Remove saved entries manually from your vault

What happens if I delete the app?

All locally stored data may be permanently deleted unless backed up through your device using iCloud or a local backup.

Troubleshooting

App not generating passwords

  • Make sure your prefix contains only letters and numbers
  • Try resetting the prefix in settings

Face ID not working

  • Ensure Face ID is enabled on your device
  • Check app permissions in iOS Settings

App feels slow or unresponsive

  • Restart the app
  • Restart your device if needed

Pekadi Local Support

Pekadi Local helps photographers, editors, and clients move photos directly between nearby devices. One device starts a temporary local gallery, and another device scans the QR code to preview and download selected photos over the same Wi-Fi network.

Does Pekadi Local upload my photos?

No. Pekadi Local serves selected photos directly from the sharing device to the receiving device on the same local network. Photos are not uploaded to Pekadi servers.

Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network?

Yes. The sharing and receiving devices must be connected to the same local Wi-Fi network for transfers to work.

Why does Pekadi Local need camera access?

Camera access is used so the receiving device can scan the local gallery QR code.

Why does Pekadi Local need photo library access?

Photo library access lets the sharing device import photos into the temporary local gallery.

Why does Pekadi Local need local network access?

Local network access allows nearby devices on the same Wi-Fi network to connect and transfer photos directly.

Do I need an account?

No. Pekadi Local does not require an account or login.

Troubleshooting

The QR code will not connect

  • Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
  • Keep the sharing device awake while the receiving device connects
  • Tap Start Local Gallery or Refresh Local Gallery again, then scan the new QR code

Downloads are not starting

  • Enable Local Network permission for Pekadi Local in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network
  • Confirm the sharing device still has Pekadi Local open
  • Try restarting Pekadi Local on both devices

Photos are not importing

  • Check that Photos or Files permission is allowed
  • Try importing fewer photos at once
  • Make sure the selected files are image files
